At 4,848’ elevation, Snowshoe Mountain sits atop one of the highest points of the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia. From this perch, we overlook unmatched wilderness adventure in all directions. We’re a stone’s throw from five state parks, one national and two state forests, eight rivers with world class rafting, mountain biking, rock climbing, the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, scenic railroads and scenic highways, covered bridges, Civil War battlefield monuments and much, much more.

For a day trip you won't soon forget head over to SENECA ROCKS and meet up with Seneca Rock Mountain Guides for some world class climbing. If heights are not your thing then a day on the river may suit you better. Endless whitewater adventures can be found on the NEW RIVER GORGE .
In fact, you’d be hard-pressed to fit all of Snowshoe’s summer possibilities into a short weekend. So we invite you to use us as base camp for your adventure--settle in and experience all the breathtaking experiences that Pocahontas County and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Visit The Depot in the Village at Snowshoe to find your path to adventure in the wild, wonderful mountains of West Virginia. Our friendly adventure planners will help with tours, tickets, travel information, and in some cases are able to coordinate shuttle transportation to and from your local point of interest.
