Becoming a mountain host requires submitting an application to the volunteer supervisor and participating in an in-person orientation before assuming mountain host responsibilities.

Mountain Host responsibilities include assisting with guest services and performing some or all of the following functions:
  • Guest Assistance
    • Working at the Information Station in the Village and answering guest questions
    • Inform guests of available recreational activities on the mountain and in the surrounding area
    • Direct guests to different parts of the mountain
    • Provide guests with safety information as needed
  • Event Assistance for competitive and non-competitive events
    • Competitive
      • Course marshalling races at race start and race end
      • Helping at road crossings and check-in
    • Non-Competitive
      • Pouring beverages
      • Manning gates - traffic control at entrances and exits
      • Helping with event registration and check-in
      • Other event related duties

Summer MOUNTAIN HOST TIME COMMITMENTS up to 100 hours.

Additional hours earn additional perks.

**Comp vouchers that are included in some time commitments can be used for winter lift tickets, summer fun passes, bike passes, or golf passes.
