Homegrown Music and Arts Festival

Experience the traditions of yesterday and enjoy the talents of today as we celebrate the music, arts and culture of Appalachia. Don’t miss the mountaintop fireworks show on Saturday!

Shindig on the Shore

Special Friday Night Dinner! Dine al fresco overlooking Shavers Lake on the Boathouse Deck. Four courses of savory Southern cuisine will be served up family style along with games for all ages, live entertainment and of course a good ‘ole campfire to gather round. Share stories and soak up the long days of summer at our most unique summer dining experience. A scenic lift ride is included.

Beats on the Basin Series featuring Lonesome River Band

FREE Village Concert! Lonsesome River Band is one of the most respected names in bluegrass music. Led by five-time International Bluegrass Music Association’s Banjo Player of the Year and Virginia Country Music Hall of Famer, Sammy Shelor, the group holds a powerhouse line up of award-winning players including vocalist and songwriter Brandon Rickman on guitar, Mike Hartgrove on fiddle, Barry Reed on bass and Randy Jones on mandolin and vocals.

Book it 5k Run / Walk / Dog Walk

The 5th Annual Book It 5K is coming to the mountain! There will be a Children's Fun Race as well as running and walking categories for the 5K. It is dog-friendly, so bring your furry friends and get moving for a good cause. All proceeds benefit the local Linwood Community Library at Snowshoe.
