Sweat, laugh, refuel, repeat. A kick-up-the-action, kick-in-the-pants escape.
July 13-16, 2017
Just like the name suggests, this camp is for our more adventurous Mountaineers. Every day will be a fresh chance to find new skills, new puddles and new glory. Take this one for example:

From Sunrise …

Skip the snooze button, a proper stretch is in order. Your crew meets at the breakfast buffet where the chef has prepared plenty of sweet and savory options to go along with the strong coffee and mad plan hatching. All agree a slow start is in order, so you head down to the lake for a 9:30am Stand-up Paddleboard Yoga session. Next, half your tribe chooses a 5k hike, while you and a few others kick up dust all over the mountain in a herd of off-road RZRs. Your lunch at Cheat Mountain Pizza is highlighted by mildly-exaggerated retellings of the morning’s adventures along with a few mud-splattered selfies for good measure.

…. To Sunset:

Grab a quick espresso, your Mountain bike class is now in full session, followed by a whole heap of shattered Sporting Clays your crew dispatches down at the shooting range. Everyone makes it to the 5pm Craft Beer Happy Hour, including several of your old fraternity brothers who can’t stop talking about the King of the Mountain Log Roll competition they did after lunch. (You won’t skip that tomorrow). Dinner — you earned it. You meet at Alpine Ristorante for an outstanding meal of authentic Tuscan pasta, well deserved. Chianti. From 8:30pm until way past everyone’s bedtime, it’s shots, stories and the sounds of the WVU Bluegrass Band.

… day 1 of 4 is in the bag.

Highlights

Center Village Lodging

Staying in Center Village means you’re always in the eye of the eating, drinking, dancing, shopping and people-watching Category 5 storm.

Mountain Dining

Adventure needs to be fed, from the included chef-prepared breakfast, to the best lunch and dinner options depending on where your day takes you.

STAND-UP PADDLEBOARDING

You haven’t tried paddleboarding until you’ve done it standing up. Few things are as humbling as they are flat-out fun -- not to mention, a great way to cool off.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

Mountain Biking is king at Snowshoe Mountain, so go ahead and claim your throne. Classes for every skill level are also available if you need to work on your royal skills.

RAVEN GOLF COURSE

On laundry day, it’s always a great idea to keep your wardrobe nice and tidy, and practice your drivers, wedges and putters. Make sure to keep an eye out for our resident Ursus Americanus on the Back Nine.

Off-Road Tours

Buckle up, grab the wheel, pick a set of coordinates. This wild ride will take you all over Cheat Mountain to our hidden backcountry treasures that can only be accessed through serious, off-road machinery.
