Sunrise Backcountry Hut

Nestled nearly two miles from the Village at Snowshoe and perched high atop the Cheat Mountain Ridge sits the Sunrise Backcountry Hut.  Overlooking the Greenbrier River Valley and the beautiful Monongahela National Forest, the Hut offers a great dining alternative for those looking to truly 'get away from it all.'  In a rustic cabin setting, the Hut accommodates up to 18 dinner guests.  When you dine at the Hut, you'll be greeted by our Hutmaster who is on call to take care of all your needs.  Looking for more than just an evening out?  If so you can reserve the hut for up to 8 people to spend the night. 

All the items below have limited availability.  Advance reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling our toll free reservation hotline at 877-441-4FUN.  Method of transportation varies with current weather conditions and will be at the discretion of the Outdoor Adventure Manager.

Dinner at the Backcountry Hut

Hut dinner includes transportation to and from the Hut, a gourmet 4-course meal and limited alcoholic beverages.

Baked Artichoke/Parmesan Dip with Crackers

Wild Long Grain Rice

Fresh Baked Dessert with Whip Cream
Soft Drinks, House Beers and Wines

Also offered at additional cost: Premium House Beers and Wines, Mixed Drinks, and Apres Dinner Drinks.

Dinner is available from 6pm-9pm, Thursday-Saturday beginning November 27, 2008.  Additional holiday dates are available. Call 304-572-5982 for availability

$75 Daily (excluding December 31, 2008 and February 14, 2009; special holiday pricing will apply for these occasion dining dates)


Lodging at the Backcountry Hut


Price:  $999 per night for lodging up to 8 people.
Departs at 6pm and returns at 10am the next day
Available seven days a week with a 48-hour notice
Hut rental includes lodging, dinner, breakfast and transportation to and from Hut.
