Pocahontas County, WV is known as the 'Birthplace of Rivers' with eight of the finest trout streams in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast originating within the County. In the center of Pocahontas County, Snowshoe Mountain sits nearly a mile high atop Cheat Mountain and offers anglers and sportsmen endless opportunities to explore this amazing region. We have partnered up with Elk Springs Resort to offer half day and full day guided fly fishing experiences on the Elk River as well as their private Spring Creek hatchery waters.
Guided Fly Fishing Packages
Full day trip times are from 8am-4pm and half day trips are from 8am-12pm or 12pm-4pm. Trips depart 30 minutes prior to start time and return 30 minutes following end time. Full day trips do include lunch. Our season begins in April and lasts through November. Since teaching is one of the vital services a guide can provide, many of our trips are instructional oriented. We can concentrate, if you like, on specific techniques you may want to learn more about.
