Nestled nearly two miles out on the Cheat Mountain Ridge Trail sits that Sunrise Backcountry Hut. Beneath towering Spruce, the Hut offers a great lodging alternative for those looking to "get away from it all". In a rustic cabin setting, the Hut sleeps 8 people. When you lodge at the Hut, you'll be greeted by our Hutmaster who is on call to take care of all your needs, including preparing you a gourmet dinner and a mouth-watering breakfast.
Lunch at the Backcountry Hut
$59 per adult, $22 for children 12 and under and free for ages 5 and under.
Includes transportation (4WD Van) to the Hut and lunch.
Available Saturdays - Trips depart at 11am and return at 1pm.
Sunset Dinner Tour: Adventure Dining at its finest!
$175 per person (driver)
$125 per person (passenger)
$75 per person (4WD Van Transport in lieu of mountain buggy)
Includes an extended tour in our new Off-Road buggies and gourmet dinner. Dinner menu includes an appetizer, soup or salad, entree (salmon, steak or roasted duck), bread, dessert and drinks.
Available Fridays and Saturdays from May 23 to Oct 12. Trip departs at 5pm and returns at 8pm.
Whole Hut Rental
$999 per night.
Includes transportation (4WD Van), gourmet dinner and breakfast.
Departs at 6pm and returns at 10am. The Hut can sleep up to 8 guests.
Group Functions
The Sunrise Backcountry Hut is an ideal place to host your next group function. Our Hutmaster can easily accommodate groups of up to 18 people for private dinners; ideal for weddings, corporate dinners, reunions, birthday celebrations, etc. Please call (304) 572-5477 for more information.
Hut lunches and dinners for parties of 6 or more can be arranged with advanced notice on any day.
