Geocaching

Get out and explore Snowshoe Mountain! Check in for your Geocaching adventure at the Shavers Lake Adventure Outpost and you'll receive a backpack loaded with a GPS unit, topo map and compass. During your hunt you'll learn interesting facts and stats about the unique flora, fauna, wildlife, and history of Snowshoe Mountain and Pocahontas County. Collect a token from each cache and if you find them all, you'll earn a prize! 

Choose from two challenging courses: The Shaver's Lake Loop Course or the more physically challenging Cheat Mountain Challenge Course. 
It is strongly recommended that groups taking on the Cheat Mountain Challenge Course get started no later than 11am.
