Thanksgiving Week

We are going BIG during this Thanksgiving Holiday.  Along with family-friendly activities and great entertainment, Snowshoe Mountain is expanding it's open terrain in a big way!  Snowshoe plans to have up to 20 trails and 5 lifts for the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Now that is BIG!  Spend the first holiday of the winter season with your family at Snowshoe Mountain... it will be an incredible way to start the winter!

Wednesday, November 26, 2008   

-Coloring Contest: Wednesday and Thursday. The winner will be announced during Santa's arrival at the Big Top on Friday.

-6pm   Movie under the Big Top- "Fred Clause" G

Big Top opens for the season
Welcome to the Big Top Special:  
Come and kick off the season with us.  For only a $20.00 - you can play in the Big Top from 8pm-10pm.  Come and see all the attractions that the Big Top has to offer:  Eurobungy, Climbing wall, Sky Bike, Mechancial bull, new play area (toddlers) Orbitron and  inflatables. 

Thursday, November 27, 2008 

-11am-1pm Turkey Olympics- Village Plaza
Come out and visit the Thanksgiving Turkey; as he host the 2st Annual Turkey Olympics.

-Snowshoe's infamous Turkey Bowling challenge
-Apple peeling contest
-Pumpkin rolling contest - age categories
-Corn shucking contest- age categories
-Pumpkin pie eating contest

Rules and regulations:
-Must have a team of 2 or more people.
-Must complete all stations to qualify for Medals- Gold - Silver-Bronze

-4pm  Movie under the Big Top - "Kung Fu Panda" PG 
 
-7pm  Movie under the Big Top -  "Indian Jones and the Kingdom of     
the Crystal Skull"

Friday, November 28, 2008 

-Noon  Pre-Christmas Craft session-Big Top

-5:30pm  Village Tree Lighting in the Village Plaza
followed by Santa Arrival - Refreshments will be served at the Big Top  .


Saturday, November 29, 2008

-Noon  Pre-Christmas Craft session

-4pm  Movie under the Big Top- "Iron Man"   
 
 -"Country Hoe-Down at the Big Top"
Bring your cowboy hat and boots and enjoy some square dancing, country games such as: Haybale toss, milking contest, corn eating contest and much more.

-7:00p- The Hillbilly Gypsies- Big Top
The Hillbilly Gypsies are a West Virginia native string band who specialize in playing their own homegrown style of Appalachian old time music, mixed with a hard drivin' bluegrass sound. In addition to their original material, The Hillbilly Gypsies play an eclectic mix of traditional and quite often, not-so-traditional bluegrass standards and catchy old fiddle tunes.  BIG TOP
