Sunday, December 14 - Thursday, January 1

35 Year Photo Retrospective
This winter we will be celebrating the resort's 35th season.  To begin the celebration, Snowshoe Mountain will open a gallery displaying photographs and archives from the past 35 seasons.  The gallery will be located in the Village and is free to the public.  Make your plans to visit the resort and take a look back at history because the Photo Retrospective is only being shown from December 14 - January 1, 2009.

Monday, December 15th & Tuesday, December 16th

Big Top Special:  
For just $20, you can play in the big top from 8pm-10pm.  Come and see all the attractions that the Big Top has to offer:  eurobungy, climbing wall, sky bike, mechanical bull, toddlers section, orbitron, inflatables and a new golf simulator.  Call 8677 to purchase.

Wednesday, December 17th

7pm - Big Top Movie Night:  Shrek the Halls
Enjoy a movie in the Big Top.  $2 popcorn and drink special during the movie. 

Thursday, December 18th

1pm - Craft Session
Enjoy an all ages craft making session in the Big Top.  Space is limited.  Call 8677 to reserve your spot.

This takes place at the Big Top and participation is free, but space may be limited. 

7:00pm - Big Top Movie Night - Horton Hears a Who

Gather your family and friends and take a picture with Santa Claus and company.  10:30am - Ballhooter Lift, 11:15am - Skidder Slope, 12pm – Shavers Centre.
 
12pm - Caroling at the Shavers Centre
Enjoy lunch as the University of Georgia's Accidentals and Noteworthy ensemble presents a melody of holiday carols.

6:30pm - Caroling at the Big Top
Come support the University of Georgia's Accidentals and Noteworthy Ensemble as they spread holiday cheer in hopes for Santa's arrival.

7:00pm - Santa's Arrival at the Big Top
Bring your spirit and your Christmas list as we await for Santa's visit to the Mountains.  Enjoy some refreshment of some hot cocoa and cookies.

9pm - 2am - 35th Season Birthday Bash
Party through the night at the Connection Nightclub as Snowshoe Mountain celebrates the beginning of it's 35th season.

6pm-8pm - Red Bull Debut Rail Jam
Our friends from Red Bull help us debut a new terrain park feature on the Skidder slope.

7:00pm - The Zany Umbrella Circus presents "My Grandfather's Circus"
Join Ben Sota in the Big Top as he relives his grandfathers stories from the great depression. His reenactment of how to create a circus out of the dust bowl. You will see every day farm objects come to life and find excitement in unexpected places. This show features juggling, tight wire walking, unicycle, walking on a 3 ft. wide ball and many other circus skills.

8pm - That's It, That's All Movie Premier
This is Red Bull's newest snowboard film for the 2008.2009 season.  You can hoot, holler and scream as you watch a movie about one of the world's best snowboarders - Travis Rice! Admission is free to all ages.

10pm - That's It, That's All After Party
Don't let the party stop after the That's It, That's All movie premier.  Head upstairs to The Connection for movie after party.  Listen to DJs throw down music, enjoy 1974-ish bar specials and pack the dance floor during a night not soon to be forgotten.

10:30pm - Teen Dance
Come join us as the Snowshoe DJ turns the Big Top into a Not Quite 21 club for those ages 13 - 20.  Cover Charge:  $ 5.00 / snack and beverage included.

Tuesday, December 23rd

2pm - Christmas Craft Session

Parents and children can join together for some off-snow enjoyment in the Big Top.  There is limited availability, so craft supplies will be given out on a first come, first served basis.  This program is complimentary to all lodging guest.

7pm - El Gleno Grande Show
Glenn Singer specializes in visual comedy using hilarious optical illusions, a dry delivery and a warm conversational style. His spoof of a circus equestrian act will have your family laughing again and again.  Complimentary to all lodging guests and open to all ages at the Big Top.

Wednesday, December 24th

5pm - Silver Creek Holiday Party
Located in the Silver Creek lobby, the party is complete with wonderful seasonal refreshments, holiday stories by Fuzzy the Elf and of course, a visit from Santa Clause. Plus, guests of all ages will receive a gift from Santa.

7:30pm - Holiday Party at the Mountain Lodge Ballroom
This is the last chance to see Santa before he leaves for his busy Christmas voyage.  Your family will enjoy a delightful evening filled with a reading of "Twas the Night Before Christmas", seasonal refreshments and the arrival of jolly ol' Saint Nick.  It truly is the best way for the entire family to get into the holiday spirit.

Friday, December 26th

Join us as live musical entertainment turns the Big Top into a  Appalachian Music Hall.  Caller Lou Maiuri and the Appalachian Cloggers will demonstrate dancing technique while you get a chance to learn square dancing.

Saturday, December 27th

 7:00pm - Jason Bishop Show
Join us for a great show at the Big Top as this illusionist combines the best in contemporary music and costuming, fast paced magic and sleight of hand while engaging the audience.

7:00pm - Amazing Feats of Comedy

This hilarious performance by physical comedian Michael Rosman is packed full of zany antics, chaotic klutziness and lots of juggling. He has performed on Late Night with David Letterman and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and now at the Big Top at Snowshoe Mountain.

Tuesday, December 30th

6:00pm - Edible Craft Session

All-American cook-out at the Big Top.  This craft session is complimentary to lodging guests while supplies last.
