Hey Everyone. Sorry I missed you last week. Unfortunately I wasn't out enjoying the snow, but was rather stuck in bed with the flu. But luckily for me, Mother Nature continues to provide us with plenty of snow, and I fee good as new!

Conditions are so good right now, I'm almost afraid to talk about them, for fear of jinxing it! The mountain saw 47" of snowfall in January, ending the snowiest Oct-Jan period we-ve had since the 1995/1996 season. That means it has been 13 years since the snow was this good! And it doesn't look the snow is going anywhere anytime soon. February is only 5 days old and we've already had 9" of snow this month! We've now had 154" of natural snow this season and we still have 2 months to add to that—and of course ENJOY IT!

This weekend may offer some of the best conditions of the season. We've had more than a foot of snow since last weekend and forecasts are calling for warm temps and sunshine on Friday and Saturday. Don't be fooled, by warm I mean in the 30s, but when you consider that the wind chill is -12 as I'm writing this, 30 is downright balmy! If you're able to take advantage of the beautiful conditions this weekend, you'll also be treated to one of Snowshoe's most infamous events.

The Jose Cuervo Games of Winter are now in their 21st season, and this is always an unforgettable weekend on the mountain-well, maybe I should rephrase that.; what occurs is pretty unforgettable, but I think plenty of people have some "blank" spots throughout the weekend... tequila, got to love it J!!! Anyways, the weekend will be filled with great on-snow games, plenty of nightclub fun and great live performances from the Davisson Brothers Band. The Davisson Brothers have been coming up to Snowshoe for years and they are definitely a mountain favorite! If you haven't had the pleasure of hearing them, be sure to stop by the Connection on Friday or Saturday for one of their shows—they're great!

And if you can bear to get off your sticks or board for a minute, sign up to participate in some of the games and contents. Bring a group and play some snow volleyball. Grab a partner and compete in the blind saucer race. Find your inner engineer and build and race the fastest cardboard box. If having fun and making a fool of yourself isn't your style, at least swing by Skidder Slope on Saturday afternoon to check out the excitement. After the on-snow games, the party gets started inside The Connection with the Bar Games of Winter. These tend to turn into "for mature audiences only" performances, but they're fun and hilarious to watch!

But really, I think the most fun this weekend will be had on the slopes. Whether you're cruising the greens, or getting some thigh-burning runs in on Lower Shay's, the snow is great, we're 100% open and with sunshine in the forecast-- life really doesn't get much better! So get in your car and get up here! And don't forget, if you book any two or more night package, the third night is on US! That's right, you budget for two nights and you'll get a third night FREE!!!

Hope to see you on the mountain!
