Winter weather has returned to Snowshoe and the resort is in great shape to celebrate the long Presidents' Day Weekend. While it was hard not to enjoy the great skiing and riding afforded by our recent warm spell, and everyone loves a sunny bluebird day, it'll also be nice to once again see the flakes falling this weekend.

We saw a couple very blustery days this week, but the winds blew in some cold temperatures, and we were able to restart snowmaking efforts on Thursday night. Snowmaking should continue overnight throughout the weekend. While we haven't really lost too much base, it'll be nice to continue to ensure we'll have amazing conditions through the end of the season!

Speaking of the end of the season, it's hard to believe it's already mid-February. But while it may seem like Spring is right around the corner, there is plenty of skiing and riding left to enjoy. Snowshoe traditionally sees a handful of powerful winter storms in late February, early March, so that means fresh powder to enjoy! And with the 154" of snow that have already fallen this season, we're sure to enjoy one of the best late seasons in recent memory!

I'm already excited about March, because it means our events schedule kicks into high gear. We host the Homegrown Music Festival and Shades of Cream Champagne and Chocolate Weekend... can you say YUM?!!? Pair these great events with our great conditions, and I can't think of a better way to spend a weekend. With a great base built up... and YES we still have PLENTY of snow, TRUST ME... we should be skiing and riding with great conditions right through the end of March. We should be able to continue to offer 100% of open terrain right through the middle of March, when Silver Creek bids adieu to another season.

This year has really flown by, but it's been a great 35th season on the mountain. From the amazing early season snow, to the festive holidays, to one of the snowiest Januarys we've seen in a long time! It's hard to believe there's only 6 weeks left, but that's 6 awesome weeks of snow-filled fun. And remember, at 4848', Snowshoe has TONS of snow, even if you don't have any in your backyard! So check out our photos and videos on the website, and see what you're missing by NOT being here. Then, get in your car and get up HERE!

This weekend is Valentines' Day, and I know I'm going to spend some time with my special someone enjoying the slopes - Have a great weekend everyone!
