The 07-08 winter season is officially here. The Thanksgiving Turkey, our chef and "fork" dropped the rope at the top of Heisler Way on Snowshoe's 34th season of skiing and riding opn Wednesday, November 21, 2007. Thanks to a massive snowmaking system and an awesome effort by our mountain operations team hundreds of folks were able to hit the slopes for the holiday weekend!

The Skidder, Whistlepunk, Tailtree, Heisler Way, Spruce Glades and Cut-Off trails are open offering two runs from top to bottom and some great early season turns. Our mountain ops crew was able to make enough snow last week to build a decent base on the open trails, so we should be good until Old Man Winter returns mid to late this week. Terrain park crews did put in five features for those anxious to ride some railss.

As you can see the season is cranking up with most of the shops and restaurants in the Snowshoe area opening along with more and more terrain expected soon. There's no better place around to get in the entire winter vacation experience, so remember to get outside, play and ride today!!!
