J1 Visa Workers:
We employ workers eligible for the J1 visa for all types of positions. We require a face-to-face interview to be considered for a position at Snowshoe Mountain. The best way to do this is to register with a student travel program that we use and to attend a job fair in your city when our recruiters are there. If you are an independent J1 applicant, please understand that we do not offer positions to independent J1 applicants.
H2B Visa Workers
We hire H2b workers for the position of Housekeeping Room Attendant. To qualify for our program, the worker must currently be in the US on an H2b visa and eligible to extend their H2b visa for the winter season. Our start date December 1, 2009 for this position. It is a requirement of employment with Snowshoe Mountain that you obtain a SSC before you begin working. You will not be permitted to begin work until you show proof that you have applied for a SSC. You will need to organize your flights to arrive in the US a few days before your scheduled pick up date so that you can go to a Social Security Admin office to apply.
You must apply for your SSC before meeting the bus for pick up on your agreed upon date. You will receive a letter from the SS Admin office that you have applied. You MUST have this letter before you meet the bus. The bus DOES NOT STOP anywhere for you to apply. There is NOWHERE near Snowshoe Mountain to apply for a SSC. You must locate and go to a Social Security office BEFORE meeting the bus.
