3rd Annual Chomolungma Challenge

An Epic Endurance Downhill Event

Chomolungma” (the traditional Tibetan name of the most dominant geographic feature on the planet, Mount Everest) stands 29,035’ above sea level and is considered to be one of the ultimate physical challenges on Earth. The winners of the Chomolungma Challenge will descend the equivalent vertical elevation through the World Class Terrain of the Snowshoe Bike Park’s Western Territory where 1,500 vertical feet per lap of fun and challenging terrain await.

With Cash guaranteed and thousands more in Prizes already in the purse, the Chomolungma Challenge is one of the Premier Bike Park Endurance Events of 2014!

This downhill endurance race tests your stamina as you compete in solo, duo team or quad team to descend the height of Mount Everest on Snowshoe Bike Park’s legendary Western Territory.

Solo race on Saturday and Duo & Quad on Sunday ~ if you can't get enough DH racing on Saturday, why not sign up for BOTH?!

What’s at stake? Over $8,000 in cash & prizes. Register early as space is limited and will sell out quickly. Starting order is determined by the order in which participants register, first come first serve.

Friday August 15th, 2014
5:00pm - 9:00pm Packet pick-up/Registration in the Depot- All participants
   
Saturday August 16th, 2014
7:00am - 8:00am SOLO PARTICIPANTS ONLY Last minute packet pick-up/Registration– Depot
8:30am

SOLO RIDERS -Mandatory Racer Meeting, at the Junction Stage in the Village

9:00am - 5:00pm Packet pick-up/Registration for Duo and Quad Teams- Depot
9:15am
RACE BEGINS with Shotgun Start in the Village. Start order, Solo Men, 5 minute gap, Solo Women. Racers will line up according to race plate numbers in lines of 10 across. Racers begin on their bikes at Junction stage. They proceed through the village, down steps at the Depot, across Snowshoe Drive to the Western Territory. Snowshoe Drive will be closed to traffic between 9:00 and 9:30. 
6:15pm  AWARDS CEREMONY Will take place on the Village Stage 
   
Sunday August 17th, 2014
7:00am- 8:00am  Last minute packet pick-up/Registration– Depot 
8:30am  Duo & Quad Teams -Mandatory Racer Meeting, at the Junction Stage in the Village 
9:15am  RACE BEGINS with Shotgun Start in the Village. Start order, Duo Team, 5 minute gap, Quad Team. Racers will line up according to race plate numbers in lines of 10 across. Racers begin on their bikes at Junction stage. They proceed through the village, down steps at the Depot, across Snowshoe Drive to the Western Territory. Snowshoe Drive will be closed to traffic between 9:00 and 9:30. 
6:00pm  AWARDS CEREMONY Will take place on the Village Stage 
   

Spectators are welcome! If you are lodging with Snowshoe, your lift pass is included in your lodging package with your fun pass. Otherwise you may purchase a pass at the Village Depot to get to the bottom of the Western Territory.

Arbuckles will be open from 10am to 4pm selling a variety of food and drinks.

*Saturday & Sunday- Starbucks will be open at 6:30am till 8pm & The Junction 7am – 10pm
